Who I Am
20 y.o. Argentinian Software Developer & Computer Science Student based in Buenos Aires.
My journey in programming began in 2020, during the long confinement we had in Argentina because of COVID.
I spent the first 2 months non-stop playing video games (COD Warzone, Minecraft and Fifa mainly) until I got to the point where I got fed up and decided I had to start doing something else. That's when I began to take introductory courses in web development, and realized how much fun it was to program. From then on I kept learning through YouTube, frontendmentor challenges, and some personal projects I did.
Why people call me "paiput"?
Well, it came up during high school. It turns out Lucas is a very common name where I live, so there were many of them in my class and it was common for my partners to use my my surname instead. One day, a friend of mine started joking at English class by calling each one of us by an exaggerated English version of our name. It seems mine was so smooth that the whole class adopted it.
My favourite song (as of today)
After watching the movie “Back to Black” (2024), about Amy Winehouse's life, I couldn't stop listening to this song, especially this version which is a bit more upbeat.
What I Do
I enjoy doing front-end as much as back-end (for web mostly), so you could say I'm a full-stack developer. My tech stack includes:
Frontend
- • React & Next.js
- • TypeScript
- • Tailwind CSS
- • Mantine / Shadcn
Backend
- • Node.js
- • Prisma ORM
- • PostgreSQL / MySQL
- • RESTful APIs
Beyond Code
When I'm not coding, you can find me:
- • Playing basketball or football
- • Working out
- • Watching a movie
- • Trying to learn a new skill. (Guitar for the moment. Still a beginner!)
- • Going to some hackaton or programming event
Let's Connect
I'm always interested in connecting with fellow developers, potential collaborators, or anyone who shares similar interests. Feel free to reach out through any of the contact methods on my homepage, or just to say hi!
